eBay - just did what the guy said, typed key chain camera (or whatever he says) and then looked for the h.264 model 808 #11. Wasn't hard to find. E.g., Clicky

No immediate plans but I have an electric R/C airplane so that would be a no-brainer to whack it on that.

I also kayak a bit, so if I put some thought into a waterproof holder that would be a goer.

Hmmm interesting. At that price and weight it's tempting to buy one to attach to my bike helmet so I can finally document how dangerously people drive around me on my trip too/from work!

Oh and i could do that and record when groups of bicyclists get together and do 5kmh up a hill 3 abreast and also turn right on a round-a-bout, but don't go aroundanti-clockwise, but instead clockwise, ie shortcutting.

Sadly I'm not sure I'll be able to record that one time where I was in the backseat and a group of cyclists surrounded the car at a set of traffic lights jeering each other and then one of them knocked off the mirror.. but in a great display of gang style group think, when the driver yelled out "hey! that's my car!" the rest of the group started rocking the car and kicked the other mirror.

Well maybe some motorists are dangerous, but there are cunts on bikes too.

why would you hack it? they are only a 480 30fps camera, you can get them for less than $100

By hacking I meant connecting it to a PC and playing with the SDK or Matlab toolbox that Billy mentioned (first time I heard of that but I am a regular Matlab user).

pinky ta, only asked as there is more than one from HK and he mentioned its possible to get dodgy / dead units.

Interesting to note in one of the items 808 updated it has fixed most of the issues mentioned in the video you posted.
