Cheapest place to get PS3 bundle?

So, I give you this challenge. Find me the cheapest PS3 bundle. Has to be somewhere in the Gold Coast region, can be from Ebay though. The cheapest I found was a $538 move bundle, but I'm sure everyone else can find a cheaper one.

Perhaps you could try and get Target to match their price in the US ;) Amazon also had them listed at that price but of course sold out pretty quick.

edit: k, no longer listed, must have sold out there too. Page was most likely was cached on my computer, took a screenshot though incase you still want to try it on.

Ta mate, I'll give it a try. Does Target usually offer overseas price cuts?

Cheapest is JB offer until 1st Feb:

PS3 160GB console (includes console, Ashes Cricket, FIFA 10, Need For Speed Shift and HDMI cables): $499.00

Just replace the HD if you want more space and all is well.

Alternatively if you actually want move then Myer has:

PS3 bundle (includes 320GB console, Playstation Move Starter pack and choice of PlayTV or Gran Turismo 5): $549.00.

Few extra dollars for GT5 and larger hd.

Eorl: yeah, you can try but there's no way they'll match that. Besides that, the one advertised there in the US is the original so if it was a legit offer, it would have been just to get rid of all the old stock. I think they only sell PS3 slims here now?

Yeah, was just odd that it was advertised it for the same price on amazon.

Tried to buy that deal when it first came out but Big-W made a mistake. The day after it was put online it went to "online only" and "out of stock" :(

I think now is the time to get PS3 with the 3.55 CFW now available, you can run all sorts of homebrew software. I have had a ps3 for a few years and ultimately became a biger fan of the xbox 360 but now i am using the ps3 heavily again. There is also the ability to play back ups available now. But thats something you will have to work out on your own.

I would also just buy the smallest memory ps3 you can find go down to somewhere like msy and pick up a 2.5" SATA HDD for about 50 bux which will give you 320gb or bigger.

However, PC still reigns supreme.

That's what I was thinking, buying cheapest smallest bundle then just getting HDD.

as iTOM noted... keep an eye on 'ozbargain.com' (www.ozbargain.com.au)

There were recently some awesome deals run by Big W where you'd get a 32" Sony LCD, a PS3 (unsure of size) and 3 BDVD's for ~$700-800 from memory... not bad when you think about it a ~$400 Sony TV....

and that target screenshot is useless to you, not only have the 60Gb PS3's not been manfactured for YEARS, but the phat PS3's haven't been made for something like 6months - a year now. - g/l w/that.

you might have luck finding some 'older gen' (read 120Gb or 160Gb) Slim PS3's at places like David Jones/Myer etc, but tbh those sorta places usually run em at a higher cost anyway...

also, unless you're going to run a 'playTV' unit on your PS3, there's 2/10ths of fuck all point in getting a larger HDD...
(Game installs aren't massive, and you should be streaming your media instead of storing it on your PS3.)

PS3's (Slim, 120Gb Model) going for $300 at Myer apparently.

Hit the link for some detail, and there's a pic of a receipt (in said link)... Print that, take it to Myer, and see what's to see...
