Hey if anyone is interested add me to your XBox 360 friends list. Looking for some online action and I know there's a few 360 owners on here.
my nick is YourMumsCuddly.
I currently have RE5, SF2TurboHD and Halo Wars (all came with the console) but I am keen to get GOW2 and whatever other co-op/multiplayer games the kids are into these days.
Haven't really ever played RTS so Halo Wars isn't my forte but keen for a game if you aren't too worried about playing a noob. FPS are more my cup of tea but I'll play anything really.

I will be getting an xbox 360 real soon. Was it an in store deal that included sf2, halo wars and re5?
I've seen 360 pro bundled with halo wars, assasins creed and PES 2008 for $389 at JBHIFI, they can chuck in an extra controller and a 12 month live subscription for about $70 extra.

I just leave Sheva in "Cover" mode when I don't want her to waste ammo, then she just takes occasional pot shots with her handgun, and really, handgun ammo is pretty plentiful so I don't care if she wastes a bit of that.
Gave her the machine gun and the sniper rifle, and then when I stick her in "Attack" mode she pulls out one or the other, depending on how close the enemies are, and shes a pretty good shot, she nails those fuckers with the sniper rifle.

Yeah, I've given her a shotty and a sniper rifle. I took the pistol off her, she couldn't be trusted. She's just waste all the ammo she picked up, and achieve nothing with it. Pistol ammo is better off with me.
The stun rod is fucking awesome though.

Still loving RE although I have noticed a bit of screen tearing in the current level. No biggie though. Might try turning down to a lower res as suggested in the other thread.
Keen to play co-op though.

Not really, its what I expect from a Resident Evil game. Well, actually, its better than what I expect, cos now at least your character doesn't have to move around like a tank, you can strafe and move around more freely using both analogue sticks.

Absolutely. Dead Space nailed the controls for this kind of game. I admit, it is better than RE4, but Dead Space raised the bar for me.

I dunno, I like the RE5 controls how they are, makes fights feel more dangerous, Dead Space never really intimidated me or made me feel like I was in any danger at all, you always felt in control, whereas a large part of Resident Evil for me has always been the fact that you always feel like you're on the back foot, and makes the action that much more desperate. It makes positioning far more important, and awareness of whats going on around you far more important, and scares the shit out of you when you're firing at hordes of enemies coming at you from the front only to be attacked from behind by an enemy you didn't know was there.
It also makes running away a more viable tactic, because you can't just flit around freely moving and shooting at everything, if you're in a room and its getting overrun by zombies you have to make a strategic choice to stand your ground and fight or get the fuck out of there and find a better place to make your stand.
Thats my take on it anyway, and why I like it the way it is.

Yeah I agree, I actually like the controls too. I have mostly played FPS on PC and the freedom of movement in traditional FPS as opposed to something like RE5 is a change and something to get used to, but I feel it sort of sets this game apart; differentiates it if you like from a lot of other games out there.
The reloading is a bit clumsy in a firefight, but using the d-pad to quickly switch weapons is a good idea (just have to make sure you put your guns in the right inventory position).
I think it adds suspense too, as Khel said making it a bit more strategy oriented. I actually found FPs games on the XBox hard at first, and my aim was all over the shop. I am still nowehere near as accurate as keyboard and mouse, but getting better.

My 360 has pretty much laid dormant since I bought it, what would be some decent non fps games for it? I've tried to play tps/fps games on it but it just doesn't feel right without a mouse but I am willing to give other types of games a go.
