Anyone got this yet? I got this game without knowing much about it besides that it was a platform puzzle game. I had high hopes for it because everyone seemed to be talking it up. Then spore came out and it was shit so for some reason I dropped my expectations for LBP because both games I had been following casually both had been talked up so much and spore comes out and its fairly terrible.
However LittleBigPlanet rockzors pretty well. I've played a few levels so far, customised my sack (lol), and checked out some custom levels online. If you have a PS3 you need to get this game because seriously... what else is there to get? MGS4, GT5 and nothing else. Consoles are fucken gay (especially xbox) but this game is a good egg.
It is also co-op which I didn't know about until I got to the 4th level where you need a second player to complete a bonus collection.
Fairly kiddie looking, probs a game that would be at home on nintendo but because it is awesome it belongs on the PS3.
The physics make the puzzles so well good and I can't wait to see what some nerds come up with online... similar to what I had hoped for with Portal.
Anyway get this if you have a ps3.

I'm getting sick of all the comments and articles saying how it's the best LBP level ever. Well it fucking isn't!
Yes, it's a cool gadget. Yes, the guy is obviously very smart. But NO, this isn't a good level! Stop saying it is! It's not fun at all, it's a fucking calculator! We already have things that do what it does... they're called calculators! And they're not fun games!

Sounds like someone wasn't allowed to spell 8OO85 with their calculator. :/

Just picked up LBP today. I've been following this one for awhile and even took a quick check-in at the Sydney LBP Festival last weekend. It's a great game! Better yet, I think it's gonna be a great community.
I haven't found the calculator level yet. I'm gonna go look for it now. I bet its gonna be the BEST LBP LEVEL EVAR!

I just started playing yesterday. So far I'm unimpressed, the gameplay is very basic and I have no real interest in creating my own levels.

Isn't the point of the game Nathan to create your own levels so that they're not basic, as you describe them to be?

Triamks, usually when I pay for a game the developer makes it for me!
My girlfriend is enjoying it with all the stickers and character outfits and whatnot, but as a platformer its not grabbing me like say Super Mario Galaxy or Braid.

I'm still having a good time with LBP. I haven't gotten into the level creator much, but still checking out the game in online play and checking out what others have created. As a platformer, I'm diggin' it, but the control mechanics can be a bit sloppy at times. Or maybe that's just my excuse for crap play.
The only draw back I've got so far is the online content. These levels are (duh ... obviously) made by amateurs. The problem is how much it shows. I'm really excited about the possibility of continually going online to find the new and amazing things that people out there have made, but if it continues to be more like sifting thru a developer's rubbish bin of bad ideas, then it gets tiring.
In the long run, its going to be about the level browser lobby and how the good stuff will get to boil to the top.

Why would you need any other levels when you have the calculator level!? Surely you must be having endless hours of fun adding... oh and let's not forget the entirely new dimension of gameplay opened up with subtraction!

i just checked out banjo kazooie nuts and bolts demo, and it seems pretty good. it feels to me like what LBP might be like, but 3D, and with all the levels made. its all very 'contraptiony', which seems what LBP is like.

Little Big Planet is only fun when you have friends over or playing with friends through ps3. Playing by yourself or randoms gets old fast.

I've been playing it a fair bit and it's got amazing scope and potential to grow one of the biggest online communities around
Having said that, it certainly is not perfect

Wow, if I was going to buy the game, the last thing I'd want is a plus sackboy. Sackboy is the creepiest fucking mascot for a game ever.

Lasted me about 3 days. It's only good as a party game where you have all 4 people playing, otherwise in single player or internet play it is boring as hell.
