Halo 2, the most pre ordered game of all time, and no matter where you are, chances are you've seen it splattered all over a bus, billboards and buildings. Its been a massive reference for anything to do with the console gaming industry and even senior correspondant rob corddry to the Daily Show had switched his election screen to Halo during a live 2004 Election special. Now i've already payed for my copy of Halo 2, and i was aware of its coming a very long time ago, so why the fuck do i have to try to find that pissy little cross on goddamn Halo 2 pop ups. I don't mind advertising, but i liken pop ups to Master Chief walking up to me in the street and blocking my path, at which point i would swiftly kick him in the groin... repeatedly, regardless of where i was heading or how urgent the matter, i would make time to make that bastard suffer. Halo 2 does NOT need to stoop to the most annoying form of advertising and is doing nothing more than giving me and probably many other gamers the shits, even worse is just when you thought one pop up was bad enough, i'm greeted with a special wide screen pop up as my browser defaults to
msn.com. Now i'd be kidding myself if i said it would put me off the product, i'm not trying to form some kind of protest against bungie, but why, oh dear god why do people put pop ups on their websites, especially about products that don't need to be forced in peoples faces
