I know how to make Q3 demos in movies but it is best explained at this site:

I think that Stryke used the highly technical process of pointing his handycam at the screen while the demos were playing.
And no, that's not "shakycam" - cos he used a tripod.
Neat huh? :P

imp you tool. ACTGN admins are da bomb man!
i had a feeling thats how the MPEG's were done.. but normally when you point a camera at a monitor you get those pesky refresh bars and I didnt see any( i must be blind :) so i thought perhaps they were mpegs.
oh well.

I did it 2 ways... over the shoulder cam was one (done at the events), the "Good" stuff was when I plugged my TV-out into my video cameras Video-in ;)
(Trying to play the game via a 2 inch LCD in the camera was fun though! Should have used a recorded demo- if I had more cables I would have also plugged in the TV).

Of course, one or two of the Q3A demos shown were in fact Q3A demo files running off Q3A, and not MPEG's.

Mine was a 83Mb mpg created from a Digital Video Camera, James aka "Chainsaw" helped with the editing.
As for releasing it to the "public".... don't know.. I'll talk to the guys. Probably need to put in a heap of copyright stuff like Quake 3 arena copyright Id Software, Music and Images from Tribes 2 copyright Sierra Online etc.

Theres a lot of disclamer stuff that you need to do if you want to use footage form someone's game. If you want to release it then get into contact with someone who know's what the're talking about (not IMP) cos you don't wanna be held responsible for all that distriputed media.

Takes off Admins hat...
Rubs hands gleefully...
Stryke: "It was self defence officer.. I also warned him I had martial arts training..."
Officer: "Then why is his head stuck up his own arse"
Stryke: "It was already there" ;)
Puts back Admins hat...
Violence will not be tolerated at the events, instigators will be forcefully* removed
*rubs hands - oops.
TURN DOWN YOUR SPEAKERS - or snip snip

Buk Fu Do - (White Tiger Kung Fu).
Specializes in an amalgimated Kung Fu style - Bits from various styles and includes "street-fighting" tactics ie. eye, groin & joint attacks are used as well as moves designed to maim and kill. Training included nerve points, multiple attackers, defending against weapons (projectile weapons not included ;) and ground fighting (if you have been knocked down how to attack/defend without having to get back to your feet)
Weapons taught include (in order) short staff & knife, long staff and swords (and your personal choice of MA weapon).
Had to quit while at Green sash (was up to long staff training) due to a recurring leg injury - found out what it was a while later when my Achillies tendon snapped. Kung Fu sash/belt colours don't eqiate to other MA belt colours. Still keep up the skills with bag workouts in my garage, tried to go back but found it too hard to fit into my schedule.
You asked :)

I'm not scared. I have never done anything to warrant a beating from Stryke! I have done stuff to warrant a beating in general, but not from Stryke - he's too nice. It would take a lot to get him that pissed off I would imagine.
