Anyone else played it yet? I'm a real fan of Vampire so I'm interested to see what other people think.
So far, it's a very cool RPG. The story is great, and there are heaps of subplots and character-specific dialogue options. If nothing else, this game has great character interaction -- you can tell by facial expressions if someone is bored, angry, or even lying to you.
The character-development process is quite unique: you don't level up per se, but rather you get a few experience points for each quest you complete. You can then spend your xp on whatever attribute, skill or discipline you like.
I do have a couple complaints with the game:
1) Cutscenes can be very choppy and buggy. Big shame, cuz they're so important to the story.
2) Small areas and frequent loading screens. Although there's lots to do, there's not much to explore.
Still, I highly recommend it to anyone who likes RPG's, and isn't already too busy with WoW :)

They wasted the Source engine. They used the facial stuff well, but most of the other Source features were crappily incorporated just because they were there.
Bottom line is, it looks ugly. Shitty third person camera, ok models, -terrible- sprites and textures. It reminds me of a badly-done Half-Life 1 mod.
Visual gripes aside, it's a pretty faithful rendition of a Masquerade P&P adventure... lots of Vampire politics, the same open-ended character development as in the White Wolf RPG, and the Masquerade violation system to prevent rampant slaughter.
I'm enjoying playing it.

I wouldn't say "wasted", but yeah, it could have been more polished.
Specially some of the dialogue -- the number of times I saw "there" instead of "they're". . . .make my eyes bleed :(
