Description:
Lineage II was developed using a modified Unreal engine in order to achieve the best possible graphical representation of the world of Aden. The development team's goal was to create a very lifelike 3D world where environments, monsters, characters and warfare look as realistic as possible. It was especially important that large-scale siege warfare be detailed enough to rival console fighting games. The level of detail achieved also allows for more strategic gameplay: you can place soldiers at strategic points on castle ramparts and even get a bird's eye view of the battle by riding atop a flying dragon. These powerful scenes are produced with the latest 3D technology. Lineage II applies the interface design philosophy of its predecessor, Lineage. The simple, mouse-driven interface, which helps novices learn movement and combat quickly, has been recreated for the 3D game. This way, players at low levels will enjoy hunting for rewards, but as they gain experience and reach higher levels they can enjoy the complexity of the combat, politics, and economic systems. Lineage II intends to look simple, but also provides complexity and depth for more seasoned players. In Lineage II, players have several classes and characters to choose from, including human, elf, dark elf, orc, and dwarf. Each race has its own class tree, enabling players to develop their characters and specialize as they continue in the game. This makes advancing more fun.
