ENDURANCE SERIES


With a project started in 2006, Enduracers and the Gentlemen Racers have released the 1st package of the Endurance Series mod for rFactor. It gives you the chance to simulate the best endurance racing experience ever seen in a video game. Cars from ALMS, LMS and the Le Mans 24hrs are included for the mod. Audi vs Peugeot, Aston Martin vs Corvette, Porsche vs Ferrari, you can live within the mod some of the best battles ever seen in modern endurance races and during some of the best editions of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

For this important mod we have chosen to create the cars and release them in packs. After the initial release including the mod base and first pack of cars, we will release frequent "Service Packs", adding new car models, sounds, physics and skins. That is why the mod can be classified as "evolutive" and will live and grow continuously after the initial v1.0 release.

Don't forget to read through the readme carefully, you will find a lot of important information in order to use the mod in the best possible way. Don't forget that the mod is very big, and that this is endurance. Don't judge it by doing 2 laps with 1 car, take your time to learn it and really appreciate it.

First Package

The first mod package, released in August 2009, has defined the quality base of the mod, and the first step of this important project. It is including 10 high definition models, added to the GT2 Panoz already created by ISI, and featuring some of the best endurance race cars like the Aston Martin DBR9, the Corvette C6.R or the Porsche RS Spyder from the year 2006.

Service Pack 1

The Service Pack 1 has been started in order to work on the most important missing cars in each category, with the aim of extending all the 4 categories appeared in the first release. It features the best cars of the current endurance seasons, with in particular the Peugeot 908 HDI, the Audi R10 TDi, or the Porsche RS Spyder Evo and the Acura ARX-01.

But it is being released with mutch more the only 6 new cars to enjoy. Indeed lot of improvements have been worked on and it ends with a package that is more looking like a new overall version of the mod then only new models. The car lightnings and reflects have been worked on all the models, and new technologies have been added : fresnel shaders, and the revolutionary new lens flares, for all the lights of all the models included in the mod. The Service Pack 1 is one of the best achievement we can see in terms of virtual endurance racing.

What comes AFTER

As presented, the mod is called "evolutive". After SP1 release, the aim is to add cars, one by one, to extend even more each categories, to extend even more the enjoyment for all the players.

There is in addition a new platform being worked on, rFactor2. The mod is currently being developement on rFactor1, but as soon as the new creation of Images Space Incorporated will be available the team will test the possibilities of the new game and evaluate the possibility of moving the mod on this new platform.
