We had a chance to visit Treyarch in LA recently and caught an in-depth glimpse at Call of Duty: Black Ops II to preview, as well as had a chance to speak with Treyarch's Mark Lamia! Check it!
We take the tortured Max Payne for one more spin in his latest sequel, as produced by Rockstar Games. Have they saved his soul? Read our review to find out!
This week we feature the very polished Bullistic Unleashed from Melbourne-based Millipede who've taken the physics puzzler genre, and bulled it! Click here for more!
CS Realism Update is a pack (Like the bloodpack) that will replace models, sounds, sprites ect. with more realistic/detailed) ones. That's why it is called CS Update. I found out that many people thought that this site was a collection of skins/models that they could download individually. That's why I found it useful to create a small section that explains what CS Realism Update (CS RU for short) is and tell you a bit about the history of CS RU. Here we go:
It started almost a year ago; I found a decent internet provider and bought a good, up to date computer. I played CS often and explored the online CS-community. Now and then I found some really excellent replacement skins, sounds and sprites. I downloaded these, installed them and played with them. But once in a while I had to format my HDD (I run Windows you know). After reinstalling all the programs it was time for me to install ALL the downloaded files in CS again. As you might expect, this takes allot of time! So on one day I got this brilliant idea to install all the new files into a directory and make one ZIP-file out of it. Now I could install CS and simply extract the files in the ZIP-file to my cstrike directory! Nice and easy ain't it?
Than I got another great idea; Why not put my file on the net? There must be more people out there that like realism in their games! So I contacted some people, E-mailed some mayor sites, and I got my own URL (http://csupdate.fol.nl) and on that day CS Realism Update was born!
I started with a crappy site made with MS FrontPage. I placed the pack on the net (Thanks everybody that helped me with it! Couldn't have done it without you!) and spread the news. And before I knew it I had thousand's of visitors. Combined with the old site-counter the site now (24-12-2001) has over 100,000 visitors! The site grew so fast it was time to move to onother domain. We had this great offer from Games-Fusion and here we are. Ready for the year 2002!
My plan now is to keep adding realism and poly's to CS by using the newly released files and by using the replies I get from the users. Together we will make CS even better!
