Rome: Total Realism is a huge overhaul over the Creative Assembly's Rome: Total War, adding new content such as a larger map, a special 'zone of recruitment' system, buildings, units and factions amongst other things. The intent of this mod is primarily to make it realistic, and fantasy units like wardogs and screeching women have been removed (thank God). The two new factions replace Britain and Dacia (who historically didn't exist as proper factions within the timeline) with Illyria, a barbarian/Greek hybrid nation, and the far eastern Successor domain of Bactria.
This is a must-have mod for anyone after a better experience out of the vanilla game. Highly recommended.
