Back in the late 1980s, Randy "The Ram" Robinson (Rourke) was a champion professional wrestler. Now, 20 years later, he ekes out a living in New Jersey. The wrestling ring is the only place of comfort to him in a world he finds alienating. Following a setback, Randy begins to evaluate his life and his relationship with his estranged daughter. The Wrestler is exhilarating entertainment, delivering just the right amount of raw action balanced with an affecting story which will stun audiences.
